Being a Doctor or a Nurse

A Doctor is someone who takes care of people and makes us feel better if you have hurt yourself or feel poorly. There are lots of different types of doctors that look after different parts of your body, they are called Specialists, and you would usually visit them in a hospital.

If you are feeling poorly your grown up would normally take you to the doctors for an appointment. Doctors have helpers, these are called Nurses. Nurses support Doctors to make sure the right care is given to help people feel better.

This week can you draw a picture and name your body parts? Can you think of a time you have had to go see the doctor what was it for?

Can you pretend to be a doctor at home and make your teddy bears feel better? Can you put a plaster or a bandage on your bear?
