We are very grateful to all of you who are supporting our on-line learning. We are currently anticipating opening to children in Eden, Reception, Year 1 and Year 6 from June 1st, however for many of our children, this way of learning could continue for the foreseeable future. Therefore, the more you can do at this stage to support your child's learning is valuable.
After working in this way for some weeks, we have refined our approach so that all class pages are set out in a similar way, to help those of you who may have children across the school. Our learning pages now give a weekly overview with some 'new to me' learning delivered on 3 of the days and 're-visiting to remember' on each of the other 2 days.
Each week's work will be organised into a table with phonics/spelling, maths, reading and writing on each day. Your child's teacher may highlight a video or online lesson that would support learning from a variety of excellent sources. There will also be a selection of more creative topic activities that you may choose to dip into. As always, it is wonderful to see what you are up to - please keep sending in pictures of your wonderful work to your class teachers.
We are really trying hard not to set too much work or too little, which is difficult because all children and family circumstances are different! Please do not feel pressured by the work that is set - it is there to support you. If you have any questions about the learning, do remember to get in touch with your child's class teacher, who will be more than happy to help.
We thank you once again. Please look after yourselves at this very challenging time.
