This weeks challenge is to create faces using everyday objects; this can be anything from pasta, buttons, feathers, shells, stones. Can the children identify what needs to be on the face? How many eyes? Ears?
Once the face is created, can children describe which emotion they have chosen for the face? Are they happy or sad? Worried or cross? Build language of emotions while creating some funny faces too; a chance to think about a time they may have been happy or sad? Retelling experiences and thinking about not just how they felt but also how others felt is a excellent foundation of the Personal and Social Development.
When you have created these fantastic faces please upload pictures to Tapestry for us all to see your wonderful art work!
