Father's Day cards
On Sunday, we have a very special day called ‘Fathers Day’. This is when we celebrate how much we love our daddies and grandads. We thought it would be really kind and lovely to make a card for your daddy or grandad that shows them how much you love them!
For this activity you will need:
- Colouring pencils/pens
Above we have attached a picture of a space rocket for you to copy for your card. You will need an adult to help you.
First of all, you will need to fold your paper/card in half to make the card shape.
Next, an adult can help you paint the bottom of your foot and then stamp it down on the front of the card. Now wait for the paint to dry.
To decorate your rocket, you can either use your colouring pencils/pens to draw the shapes and flames or, with an adults help, you can draw the shapes on different paper and cut them out with your scissors to stick on your card. Remember to be safe with your scissors!
When you’re finished, an adult can help write ‘Love you to the moon and back’ on the front of your card and inside you can write a lovely message, e.g. “To daddy/grandad, lots of love from …..” Can you practice writing your own name in the card?
We’d love to see pictures of your cards when they are finished!
