Messy Play - toothpaste
So this week I thought was a perfect chance for some messy fun!!
Lets find some toothpaste (cheaper the better), encourage your child to squeeze all the toothpaste out of the tube- and excellent chance to further build those finger muscles ready for writing later on.
As they squeeze, talk all about what they are doing is it easy or hard to squeeze the paste out of the tube? How much toothpaste is there? What colour is the paste? What does it smell like? (A real chance to build so much language in their play)
Once they have squeezed all the paste out, encourage some mark making in the paste - can they make a wiggly line? a circle? maybe even practice their phonics sounds in the paste too, are they forming recognisable letters?
