For this activity, you just need some pieces of paper and a pencil. Can your child draw a big circle on each piece of paper, and then adults please can you help write down a letter of the alphabet in each one.
Allow your child to cut out the circles and then can you place the circles spaced out on the floor.
Can your child jump to the correct sounds that spells out their name? What about 'mum' or 'dad'? (Sounding out 'm-u-m' for your child to hear the sounds needed).
If they have siblings, can they jump to the sounds that their name begins with?
What about a pet? 'c-a-t' or 'd-o-g'
Once they have found the sounds in their name, can they peg them to the washing line in the correct order?
