Front Gate Long
The Local Authority and Public Health England, and in light of the increase of cases in schools, within Dorset, have advised that;
All parents should wear a face mask to enter any part of the school grounds. As exposure - face to face, for more than one minutes represents a high risk, these interactions should be avoided with parents/staff or staff/staff.
Therefore, we are kindly asking that adults wear a mask anywhere on the school premises.; this includes the playground to keep us all safe. This request only applies to adults, not our children.
We understand that if you have a medical condition this may be challenging and we would not wish to cause medical harm by asking you to wear a mask, therefore you would be exempt.
We thank you for co-operating with this change in local government policy.
Mrs. Cath Crossley.

Years 5 and 6
For children in Year 5 and Year 6, parents may choose to allow their child to walk or cycle to and from school on their own. If this is the case, parents must inform the school of this decision in writing.
Years 3, 4, 5 and 6
In the morning children are expected to leave their parents in the playground and come into school on their own. At the end of the day, they are dismissed from their class bases and should return to their teacher if they cannot find the adult who is meeting them or stay with their teacher if they are waiting for an adult to arrive.
Year 1 & 2
Please see your child safely into the classroom doors and then leave them to go to their class. When leaving school children must be collected personally. It is most important that should you arrange for someone else to collect your child, the class teacher or the school office is informed beforehand. No child will be allowed to go home without an adult collecting them.
On arrival at school please bring your child into the classroom. We encourage you to leave as soon as your child is settled.
If arrangements change for the collection of your child/children, please inform the school office as soon as possible. This is to ensure the message reaches your child and most importantly the class teachers, it allows us to be comfortable and confident at the end of the school day allowing our children home and with the adults they are meant to be with.
