Special Places: Churches

In RE this week we will continue to look at special places. We are going to think about the places that are special to Christians 'churches'.

Look at the images of churches. What is this place? Discuss any experiences you have of visiting a church. Do you know who the church is special to? Explain it is a special place for Christians to feel close to Jesus and God. They worship and pray in churches.

Watch the video from the inside of a church. Can you identify what it is and what it is used for? Why is it special? Explain what the different parts of the church are used for. Specify weddings and christenings/baptisms etc.
