RE - Salvation

Tuesday 2nd March 2021

L.O. To create and discuss the meaning of the cross.

Success Criteria:

I can create a cross with different colours

I can say what the different colours represent

I can record what the different colours mean

Look at the three different crosses on the powerpoint picture attached.  Which one do you think links to the three days of Holy Week?  The three days are Palm Sunday, Good Friday and Easter Sunday.  Give a brief reason for each answer.

Create your own cross from any materials using any colours you wish and then write a short sentence explaining why you have chosen the colours you have.

Example: The red represents Jesus’ blood.

The blue represents Mary’s tears when Jesus was nailed to the cross.

The grey represents the nails used to put Jesus on the cross.

The brown represents the cross.

We look forward to seeing your work!
