Washing the animals

To link to our topic of caring for our pets, i thought it would be a lovely chance to give some of our small animal toys a wash. Please can the children have a bowl of warm soapy water, cloth, toothbrush and a selection of small plastic animals. 

Encourage the children to clean the animals, as they play, talk about what they are doing? Why do we need to wash our pets? Why is it important to wash?

Talking and building language as they play is key to extending the children's range of vocabulary. We hope everyone has fun with this.
