The governors of Beechcroft St Paul’s are a group of people from the local community who have come together to support and challenge the headteacher and the staff to ensure that the school provides the best learning opportunities for all its pupils . Parent and Staff governors are elected to represent those groups within the school.

On 1 August 2017 Beechcroft St Paul’s joined the Diocese of Salisbury Academy Trust and all the governors have been reappointed by DSAT. Foundation Governors have been nominated by St Paul’s Church and ratified by the Salisbury Diocesan Board of Education.

We take part in training sessions to keep up to date with changes in schools and education so that we can be more effective governors. We come into school to work with the headteacher, the staff and pupils so we know how much progress the children are making in comparison with schools nationally. It’s a joy and a privilege to serve our community in this way. The governors meet together twice a term and attend other meetings too.
