E-Safety

At Beechcroft St. Paul's we believe that the use of smartphones, computers and tablets can be a great source of learning and fun at home and school, however they are not risk or danger free. We take E-safety very seriously.  Our aim is to give all our children the skills and knowledge to keep them safe at school and at home especially when they are online.

We have a detailed and comprehensive E-safety policy that is designed to dovetail with our safeguarding policies and keep our children protected.  It follows the latest guidance from central government, our local authority and CEOP (Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre).

We hold regular informal information events for pupils with Dorset's Safe Schools' Community Team (SSCT) which are intended to improve their understanding of the potential and emerging dangers of being online. Regular information and updates are also given to parents for example with the SSCT's termly newsletters.
